GST

its been awhile since i last posted
and i did promise GOC to post more after my exams
so here i am ...
about GST ...
just to remind everybody
our GST is gonna increase from 5% to 7%
on the 1st of july
so before this happens
do take advantage of it
especially during the Great Singapore Sale (GSS)
which is currently now on
you will get more than what you normally bargain for
after the 1st of july
given the rise in GST
vendors will then also increase their prices proportionately ...
still on the topic of GST
is the GST offset package
which the government have generously implemented
to help Singaporeans cope with the increase in GST
depending on the different households you live in
and other certain criterias
each individual Singaporean will recieve a different amount
for example
if the individual recieve a total of $300 of GST credit
the GST would equate to $2 for every $100 spent
(as stated above the GST offset package is for the increase in 2%)
$300/$2 = 150
150 x $100 = $15 000
in other words
the government have subsidise those people credited with $300 GST credit
up to the amount of $15 000
well to those individuals that recieved $200 worth of GST credits
they will be rebated to the amount of $10 000
but in order for you to recieve the GST credits on the 1st of july
you must sign up bef 25th of june at ATMS or website ...
today is the 11th of june
14 more days left to sign up
and 21 more days before the GST increase
so go shop shop shop till you drop
